Overview

Despite increasing numbers of individuals in the criminal justice system with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), very little research exists about ASD, hypersexuality and paraphilias.

Summary

There is an increasing number of individuals on the Autism Spectrum coming into contact with the criminal justice system, particularly internet sex crimes. Despite this, very little is known about ASD and sexuality or sexual offending behavior.

One Study About Hypersexuality and Paraphilias

A 2017 study by Schottle, et al, studied this topic. Specifically focusing on hypersexuality and paraphilic behavior in both men and woman with ASD.
