Summary

In 2018, a collaboration study between the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and several well-known researchers in the field of sexual offending was published. The study used the data available in the NCMEC database to come to an updated understanding of Child Sexual Exploitation Materials. The study’s stated objective was to develop current knowledge so they could assist law enforcement in identifying victims of sexual abuse as well as trying to intervene and hopefully prevent sexual abuse.
