What do we know about Exhibitionism and Frotteurism?
Overview
What are the average demographics for the victims of these crimes? What is the likelihood of undetected victims?
Summary
Despite the relative frequency of indecent exposure charges, there is relatively little scientific research published on the topic. This study looked at self-reported acts of frotteurism and exhibitionism in a population of 459 undergraduate college students in New York City. The study assessed both being victimized by this behavior as well as engaging in the behavior.
