Overview

The landscape of the production of child pornography production has changed drastically over the decade from 2010 to 2020. How do these changes affect sentencing for federal production cases?

Summary

The latest in a series of reports published by the United States Sentencing Commission involves cases of child pornography production from fiscal year 2019.  As there is very little research regarding child pornography production, this is a welcome report.  It is also one of the few reports that address the changing nature of child pornography production, which includes production of these images or videos in a remote fashion without contact offending.
